You supply us with your artwork.
Embroidery works best on designs that are fairly simple and have a low colour count and solid colours. If your design is photographic, complicated or highly detailed, embroidery may not be the best option. But if in doubt, let us see your artwork and we can advise you.
We require either .jpg or .png files of your design/artwork. If there's any issues with your artwork at all, we will contact you before proceeding with the order. If we need to adjust or re-do your artwork, you may be charged an artwork fee depending on how long it takes. Artwork should be uploaded at a resolution of at least 300 dpi.twork
Here are a few helpful tips to ensure that your artwork will embroider properly: Avoid small lettering or tiny detail, fonts should be at least 5mm high. Avoid photographic imagery or gradients, artwork should be made up of solid lines and colours only. The largest and clearest graphics will convert well to embroidery.
We then digitise your artwork
We then convert your artwork into a special embroidery file that tells the machine exactly where to place each stitch, which colours to use and how it should run. Average size logos can run anywhere between 5000 to 10,000 stitches. It takes time to do this and there is a one-off set up fee (£15.00) for each design for this. Once we have your designs on file, you are not charged again for the set up.
The item is then hooped.
We place the item (like a hoodie, polo shirt or cap) into a frame called a 'hoop' to hold it securely in place. The maximum size for embroidery is 25cm x 25cm
The machine stitches the design.
The embroidery machine uses multiple colours of threads to stitch your design directly onto the fabric. We use Madeira Threads and can usually match or come pretty close to Pantone colours if you have them. The stitching is all guided by the digital file to ensure that everything lines up perfectly.
We finish it off with care.
When it has been stitched, we trim any loose threads, check the quality and get it ready to be shipped.
Embroidery is ideal for adding a long-lasting tactile finish to garments and branded merchandise.
